Kambô is also known as "sapo" "acate" “campú” “Siadte” or “Daucaid”. It has been used for generations by various indigenous tribes in the Amazon rainforest, including the Matsés, Katukina, Mayoruna, and others. These tribes have historically relied on Kambó for its believed healing and purifying properties.
The medicine is gathered from the Phyllomedusa bicolor tree frog or the giant monkey frog, and is known as the "Vaccine of the Amazon".
Kambo promotes the understanding of our emotions by bringing to the surface what we have suppressed and long forgotten. By removing these impurities—the remnants of unprocessed and unhealthy feelings from the past—we reveal, layer by layer, our authentic selves.
Many also view Kambo as a “spiritual teacher,” with the ability to “pull back the curtain” on one’s personal patterns and behaviours. Kambo, often referred to as "the great revealer," is said to “go to work where the work is needed.”
Kambo strengthens the immune system by encouraging the body’s natural defense mechanisms. There are reports of existing health problems being improved or resolved, and future ailments or illnesses seem less likely to occur due to the increased resilience of the body’s immune system.

The Rapéh (pronounced "Ra-peh" or “Ha-peh”) tobacco snuff is a sacred and legal herbal snuff from the indigenous peoples of the forest. It is said to heighten the awareness and the senses, clear and align your mind, your instinct and your intuition and help promote cleansing of the body and soul.
Benefits of Using Rapé can help you in the following ways:
Helps focus and sharpen the mind.
Clears a person or space of distracting, bad energies in preparation for intention setting.
Detoxes both body and mind and clears your energetic field. Because of this, rapé is often used in conjunction with grandmother ceremonies.

Sananga is the name given to medicinal eye drops used by some indigenous Amazonian peoples, most notably the Matsés, Ticuna, Huni Kuin, and Yawanawá tribes.
Taking sananga can feel like an intense stinging pain that seeps into your whole body – but leaves you feeling energized, cleansed, and sharpened.
Traditionally it is used to treat eye conditions and improve visual perception, but it is also a powerful shamanic cleanser in its own right. It can be used on its own to purge the body of negative energies, or in combination with other plant medicines like ayahuasca to potentiate their spiritual effects.
Sananga allows its users to access the medicinal and spiritual powers of the Tabernaemontana plants, which are thought to treat a number of physical issues. You can tell that the power of the sananga is entering your body by the intense pain that it can cause. The pain of the experience is crucial – it indicates that the soul of the plant is being absorbed by the body, starting at the eyes, before working itself deep into the veins and viscera (Shepard, 1999, p.102).
This infusion of the plant spirit of sananga helps to eliminate negative or melancholic energies (sometimes known as panema) from the body. It can treat emotional maladies including sadness and grief, and is even used to remove bad dreams!
The stinging power of the plant is literally attacking these malevolent spirits and removing them from your body. The sananga experience, once the pain has passed, leaves you feeling cleansed, refreshed, and sharpened. Hunters who take sananga are said to be blessed with enhanced power and vision, which can last for several days (Shepard, 1999, p.102).
The spiritual purging that sananga offers is also traditionally used to help prepare people for other plant medicines – especially ayahuasca. It can be part of a wider purifying of the body and mind; an initial cleansing before the deep and often difficult introspection that ayahuasca is known for.

The cacao used in these ceremonies is chocolate in its purest form. Cacao beans, harvested from the fruit of the cacao tree, have a distinctly bitter flavour. Rich in nutrients, cacao is considered a superfood and has been used in ceremonial practices since the time of the Mayans and Aztecs.
They called Cacao the "food of the gods," believed to possess mystical properties that facilitated communion with higher realms. Shamans used cacao in their rituals to induce visions, connect with ancestral spirits, and gain spiritual insights.
Today, this bitter bean has spread from Latin America to many parts of the world, enjoyed both in casual sipping and in ceremonial settings.
Cacao is a powerhouse of antioxidants like flavonoids, which have been shown to improve heart health by reducing inflammation and improving blood flow. Cacao also contains serotonin precursors, which contribute to feelings of well-being and happiness.

Kambó’s therapeutic effects are primarily attributed to the complex mixture of bioactive compounds and peptides found in the secretion of the Phyllomedusa bicolor frog. The positive effects of these peptides have resulted in more than 70 patents filed by scientists and pharmaceutical companies, all seeking to replicate the benefits of Kambo.
What is a peptide?
A peptide is a short chain of amino acids. They differ from proteins due to their relatively shorter length. Peptides may interact with receptors in the body, influencing various physiological processes. Insulin, Oxytocin, Growth hormone, Antibiotics, and Enzymes are all examples of peptides. Peptides affect mood, energy, cognitive reasoning, blood sugar, digestion, blood pressure and immune system regulation. They can help with inflammation and even stop the growth of microorganisms in the body.
The medusins peptides have antimicrobial and antifungal properties. Fighting microbes, bacteria and viruses. Furthermore, it fights off fungi. The vasodilatory properties can assist in the management of hypertension by naturally expanding blood vessels, assisting in the homeostasis of optimal blood pressure levels. It also reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
-
Adenoregulin (Dermaseptins) areantimicrobial peptides, which make them effective at killing a wide range of microorganisms, including bacteria, fungi, and some viruses like cold or flu. Some research has explored their potential application in cancer research and treatment, particularly in the context of anticancer properties.
Bombesin have positive effects in helping improve digestive health by increasing the production of stomach acid, enhancing pancreatic function, regulating intestinal activity, and breaking down the food we eat for better nutrient absorption. This results in better digestion, metabolism, and overall well-being.
Bradykinin is a potent vasodilator, meaning it can relax and widen blood vessels. Providing a proper supply of oxygenated blood to every corner of the body so that it can function more efficiently. The organs and the cells remain healthier and more vitality is experienced. They have the ability to lower blood pressure.
Caerulein is a peptide hormone that triggers the release of digestive enzymes from the pancreas into the small intestine. These enzymes are essential for breaking down carbohydrates, proteins, and fats in food.Stimulates insulin release. improves glucose tolerance. It contracts smooth muscle at better than nanomolar, enhances blood circulation, modifies satiety, sedation and thermoregulation, and it’s an analgesic several thousand times more potent than morphine.
Dermorphin is a chain that acts on opioid receptors to reduce pain. They can alleviate chronic and acute pain, as well as minimizes opioid dependence. It is 30-40 times more potent than morphine.Deltorphin is another peptide that interacts with opioid receptors, showing higher selectivity for them than any compound known to man. There are 2 Deltorphins in Kambo, adding to its pain-killing properties.
Neurokinin B is involved in neuroendocrineregulation and pain perception. It plays a role in various physiological processes within the body, including neurotransmission, pain modulation, inflammation, and reproductive functions.
Phyllomedusin facilitates the release of digestive enzymes in the pancreas into the small intestine, helping with the breakdown of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. In addition to that, this peptide stimulates the gallbladder to release bile , in order to help digest fast for easier absorption in the intestines. Due to its massive vasodilator properties it can facilitate the penetration of beneficial and therapeutic agents to the brain.Phyllokinin is a member of the tachykinin family of peptides, which are involved in various physiological processes, including neurotransmission and the regulation of pain, inflammation, and blood pressure.
Phyllocaerulein in the context of kidney function, peptides might impact processes related to water balance, filtration, and electrolyte regulation. The peptide might influence the dilation or constriction of blood vessels in the kidneys, affecting blood flow and filtration rates.
Preprotachykinin B peptide is involved in pain modulation, inflammation, and the regulation of the digestive and respiratory system.
Sauvagine can affect the adrenal gland and stress response. It modulates the adrenal cortex and pituitary gland. Sauvagine's actions in the brain are also associated with behavioral and emotional responses. It can affect mood and anxiety levels in a positive manner.
T-Kinin/Tachykinin is involved in the transmission of pain signals in the nervous system. Research on tachykinins has led to the development of medications that target tachykinin receptors for pain management. Some studies have explored the role of tachykinins in neurological disorders, including migraine headaches, neurodegenerative diseases, regulation of inflammation and immune responses.
Urechistachykinin II is involved in neurotransmitter release and blood pressure regulation.
Tryptophan promotes neuroplasticity, mood regulation and fights neuroinflammation. Tryptophan plays a crucial role in the synthesis of serotonin in the brain, impacting mood, behavior, and cognitive functions. Moreover, clinical trials have shown promising indications of the effectiveness of L-Tryptophan in treating psychiatric disorders, especially when used alongside other therapeutic medications.
Trytophilins molecules are important regulators in a multitude of physiological processes within the body, encompassing pain perception and emotional responses. They play a role in promoting neuroplasticity, which is the brain's capacity for structural and functional adaptation. This facilitates the acquisition of new skills, memory formation, and recovery from neural injuries.
